Briefly describe your job… what do you really do at EL?
I help teachers and administrators discover ExploreLearning tools and resources that support STEM learning and increase student engagement.

What do you like about working at EL?
We offer valuable products that teachers want and like to use with students. I also enjoy the people I work with, who are truly dedicated to supporting educators across the globe.

What's the most seriously fun thing you've ever done?
My husband and I eloped to New Orleans and had a second line parade with a brass band, escort us around the French Quarter. It was a blast! In second place is going to Disneyland on my birthday a few years ago when they were limiting guests to 25% capacity. We got to go on every ride, multiple times, without waiting in any lines!

Why is STEM education important, in your personal opinion?
Many of the global challenges we face, like climate change, healthcare, food security, and sustainable energy, require STEM-based solutions. By promoting STEM education, we can inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators to tackle these complex issues and work towards a better future for humanity.

Time travel… past or future?
Past! One of my favorite movies is Midnight in Paris. I would love to travel back in time to experience the “Roaring 20’s”.

Artificial intelligence… friend or foe?
TBD – ask me again in 10 years.

Biology - I’m fascinated by our living Earth.

Well, I’m currently learning German, so I’ll have to go with learning a new language.

Both! I’m a child of the 70’s. I grew up watching both.

Depends on the task. Paper and pencil for all my note taking. Keyboard for work-related tasks, or information that will be shared with others.

In the classroom… 
Front row or back row – Front row always if I had a choice. I couldn’t see the board from the back row. It turned out I needed glasses and didn’t realize it until I was in college.
